Commuting with Covid-19: Keeping you Safe with Data

In partnership with

With cities around the world exiting COVID-19 lockdowns, there is now a new, crucial curve to flatten: public transit commuting during peak hours.

But how? Before the pandemic, many public transportation systems were already running at full capacity during peak hours, with some even reporting extreme levels of overcrowding. In a world of social distancing, increased hygene measures and heightened anxiety, what can PTOs possibly do to guarantee safe and efficient public transport during this new normal?

Brought to you in partnership with Moovit, join our panel of experts to explore the latest in innovative, data-driven technical and political solutions being developed to protect passengers under ground, above ground and across the globe.

MaaS for All: Creating a User-centric, Inclusive MaaS Ecosystem

In partnership with

While some Mobility-as-a-Service providers are striving to deliver an individual experience for users, overall it is clear that MaaS is still very much a one-size-fits-all solution, as is the mobility sector overall.

What can we do in order to ensure an inclusive future for transport? Where is the current research at and are there existing case studies we can learn from?

In this virtual workshop we will look at mobility through the gender and accessibility lens. We’ll analyse research and case studies on user-centric approaches to transport and discuss opportunities and barriers.

Brought to you in partnership with MaaS Alliance Users & Rights Working Group, join us for a lively discussion with a diverse panel of experts.

Women in Mobility: Closing the Female Founder Gap

In partnership with

The mobility industry contains many male dominated fields, including transport, automotive, tech and engineering. While women make up half of end users, they are still underrepresented in the roles shaping products and services, and especially in leadership and founder roles.

Brought to  you in Partnership with the Women in Mobility London Branch,  join us for a lively discussion on how more women can be encouraged to start up companies in this sector. Hear from two female founders about their experience in setting up and running successful businesses in the mobility industry, including hurdles they overcame and advice to future entrepreneurs. You’ll also get the chance to ask them all your burning questions about founding mobility and tech companies.

The French Mobility Orientation Law: Business Opportunities for a Sustainable Future

In partnership with

After two years of deliberation and negotiation, the French mobility orientation law (la loi d’orientation des mobilités or ‘LOM’) was definitively adopted on 24 December, 2019. This large text, whose primary objective is to improve travel throughout the country, is a victory for sustainable mobility in that it supports new forms of mobility as alternatives to single car ownership.

Addressing a number of sectors such as electrification, shared mobility, MaaS and autonomous vehicles, it is opening up unprecedented business opportunities for new mobility companies.

Brought you in partnership with Choose Paris Region, this Virtual Urban Mobility Workshop is for foreign companies who want to learn more about the mobility orientation law, how it is impacting the French mobility market and the commercial opportunities that have come with it.

The Future of MaaS: Private Means to Public Ends?

In partnership with

In Europe, the race to become The Mobility as a Service (MaaS) Platform is heating up. We are seeing big tech companies, public transport companies, OEMs and startups furiously building MaaS offers in the hope of aggregating all the public and private transport services on their platform. However, in a field full of competitors, companies operating in Europe need to collaborate with each other and with cities in order to build enough scale and realise the critical mass needed to make MaaS work.

How can we ensure that MaaS apps and platforms are developed and implemented with the needs of the city and its citizens at heart?

Brought to you in parternship with POLIS, this Virtual Workshop will explore a number of themes related to the importance of public and private collaboration and the role of cities and regions in the deployment of MaaS. Panellists will discuss different governance models to ensure public sector oversight in terms of which transport modes are being prioritized in a MaaS environment.
